The experience
The Yoga Instructor is responsible for leading safe, engaging, and effective yoga classes for individuals or groups of varying skill levels. The instructor promotes physical well-being, mindfulness, and proper alignment while creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Requirements
Beginner Spanish or Beginner English
Over 21 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
* Lead yoga classes (e.g., Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Power Yoga, or Chair Yoga) according to the studio’s schedule
* Demonstrate poses and provide clear verbal instructions and modifications for different skill levels
* Monitor participants to ensure proper alignment and prevent injuries
* Create balanced class sequences that include warm-up, peak poses, and cool-down
* Incorporate breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation practices
* Maintain a calm, supportive, and professional atmosphere
* Arrive on time and prepare the studio space (mats, props, music, lighting)
* Ensure cleanliness and proper use of yoga equipment
* Build positive relationships with clients and encourage consistent participation
* Stay current with yoga trends, techniques, and continuing education
What will the volunteer get?
* A room with a private bathroom.

Activities & Shift
Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (Flexible)
* 1 hour lecture per day
* 3 hours of gardening per day
Rules
Must keep the room always clean
The kitchen must be cleaned after use every day
Must get approval to accept visitors
Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight
Must respect all staff members and other volunteers
Must show up for the task assigned on time
