Absolutely loved my time at the hostel in paracas! everyone is so friendly and ends up feeling like family! the shifts weren't too hard and shared evenly between all volunteers. the activities on everyday were so fun and we could participate in everything even if we were working. I love the vibe and energy of the hostel. I got to meet and chat with lots of guests too which was really nice. this hostel felt like a second home and i would stay for much longer if i could!! i love love love it!

I had an amazing first time experience volunteering at the hostel! The staff was very welcoming, and was always there for us if we needed anything. Special mention to Esteban, the host, who made sure we had a pleasant stay at the hostel. I have made lifelong friendships with the other volunteers, as we grew very close during our stay in Paracas. I was assigned to help in the kitchen and although the working hours were respected, keep in mind the work consists of washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen area. I would definitely recommend volunteering at the hostel!!

The people made the experience enjoyable. i had a lot of fun with the other volunteers and made great friends. most of the staff, especially esteban and isabel were so welcoming. esteban made sure we enjoyed our time, you could always contact him about anything. i worked in the kitchen and it wasn't what it was advertised at. you only do dishes and a lot of cleaning, like walls and deep fryer. sometimes it felt like i did the stuff the kitchen workers didn't want to do. the volunteer bathroom isn't usable and most of the rules are introduced when you break them. luis didn't respond to texts.

The hostel is an awesome party hostel with a lot to offer! Unfortunately my stay was cut 2 weeks short due to a family emergency. While I was there, I helped clean dishes and buss tables…not bartend - false advertisement🤷🏼‍♀️. The rooms for volunteers are dirty too - they're never cleaned from what I've seen. However, the people there are amazing and the staff is great! The parties are fun too. All in all, if you're willing to be a barback/busser during parties/activities, do it. I don't think I would have done it had I known everything but the people made the experience all worth it.

The people made the experience worth it. All the staff is very kind and most of them are willing to let you practice Spanish, as most only speak Spanish! My only complaint is that the accommodations aren't great. The volunteers stay in volunteer dorms with 4 beds, this part is great, but it's not well kept and the bathroom is never cleaned or restocked. If you have allergies, which I do, the kitchen tried to accommodate but most of the time this meant I was only having half the meal. The location is beautiful as long as you're okay with loud music all the time.

This was my first Volunteering experience and the first time I left Canada by myself. I can truly say it was life changing, everyone is very friendly and welcoming, learning about all the local hot spots was super fun and the work hours were well respected. I left with so many new connections and life long friendships. The only thing I would suggest to anyone new coming in would be to have at least a basic knowledge of Spanish as it will help you communicate better with a majority of the staff!

I had an amazing time at the hostel! I made great friends with the other volunteers and staff and was able to meet lots of other travellers. The work was relatively relaxed with weekends being the exception but there was lots of staff on the weekends. I was able to practice my Spanish and I think I really improved. I had a lot of fun and I think it was a great first experience volunteering at a hostel. Definitely recommend!!

I had a great experience in Koko, its easy to get entertained there since the hostel offers daily activities and parties. I helped in the kitchen. Certainly there was more dishes to wash than its described, but the working hours were met and the kitchen staff was great and fun. Not everyone in the general staff is friendly, maybe they're just used to see people coming and going, but I was able to meet amazing local friends + the other volunteers. Overall, Koko offers great benefits, nice space to live, great people around and the chill Paracas' vibes, its worth to go!

Kokopeli Paracas is the best place to volunteer and stay for a few weeks! It is such a beautiful hostel right by the ocean and the staff you will work with truly become family. I had so much fun learning a new skill, practicing my Spanish and helping my friends with their English, meeting many travellers, going on adventures, the hostel was clean & had great food! The managers are attentive, caring, respectful and supportive which is really important. The living quarters for the volunteers (the beds) could be improved, but overall I loved volunteering here and I would recommend to all!
