The experience

We’re looking for friendly volunteers to support our guests during their stay—helping with accommodation needs, making them feel at home, and sharing local tips or fun activities around beautiful Salento! 🌿🏞️ If you’re outgoing, caring, and love connecting with people, this is the perfect place for you ✨🙌

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Beginner English

Over 18 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

In this position you will be performing hostel related activities. Our hostel´s priority is that our guests feel at home and have time to relax and enjoy their stay. Volunteers should be able to ask for our clients´ needs, listen actively and take action, for example make sure they have enough blankets, offer them a clean towel if needed or giving advice regarding directions or information about the local activities. It´s the perfect chance to exceed our guest’s expectations and transform that interaction in a cultural and language exchange. While there are no guests you should take care of our common areas, keeping them organized and clean, (e.g. dinning table, sofas), in our kitchen everyone washes their own dishes, but sometimes it needs to be revised to remain a clean image.

Activities & Shift

Shifts: 5 hours daily 5 per week.
morning afternoon and sometimes night shift when the restaurant its open.

Tasks:

- Reception
- Cleaning
- Make sure there is always fresh coffee and tea.
- Check ins and outs.
