Program Details

Our project takes place in a forest reserve just 5km from Montañita. We work with therapy horses to support emotional well-being and personal growth, especially through women’s retreats and conscious living experiences.

Volunteers live close to nature and support us in caring for the horses, helping with events, maintaining the land, and co-creating a healing, creative atmosphere. The space is simple but magical—ideal for those who want to reconnect with the earth, animals, and a slower rhythm of life.

You’ll stay in rustic accommodations with basic comforts, surrounded by forest, birdsong, and starry skies. We welcome people with open hearts, creative minds, and strong hands.

Activities & Shift

We usually work in the mornings, often just 1-2 hours a day. On three days a week, the work may extend from 7:00 am to around 11:00 am, especially when we cut grass for the horses or do maintenance around the land.

On the days we ride the horses to the beach, we take a picnic and spend the whole day with them, enjoying the sea and the forest trails together.

Afternoons are generally free for rest, journaling, or personal projects.

------

Daily tasks may vary depending on the season and the events we host, but generally include:

Morning feeding and care of horses

Cleaning and maintaining the horse area

Light gardening, forest trail maintenance or eco-construction

Support during women’s retreats or equine sessions (logistics, holding space, setup)

Creative contributions: photography, social media, art, storytelling

Occasional kitchen help or support with shared meals

.

Rules

To keep the space safe, respectful, and in alignment with our mission, we ask that volunteers:

Respect quiet hours (especially during retreats)

Avoid strong drugs and heavy alcohol use on the property

Help keep shared areas clean and cozy

Be emotionally mature, open to feedback and respectful of processes

Participate actively and ask questions when in doubt

Treat horses and nature with care and presence
