The experience

Through this position, you will be able to help with our education and community development projects. We offer everything from adult literacy classes to reading and gender empowerment projects. These activities are carried out both in schools and at our headquarters. You will also be able to help us seek funding (trough selling, crowdfunding, submission of proposals) to contribute to the sustainability of our projects.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 25 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers and Materials for volunteer activities

Description: The cost will help with: energy, water, internet, bathroom utilities, breakfast and general material of work.

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate Portuguese or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Activities & Shift

📆 2 days off per week
Schedule is flexible and based on the needs of each project or event. Volunteers are encouraged to take initiative and propose creative ideas!
