Working at the project was an amazing experience 馃槏. It was my first volunteering, and I felt it to be a liberating and connecting experience. I was able to partake in a lot of cooking activities (which i love). As well as help on the farm with very diverse work. I hoped for some more guidance but still really learned a lot! Sarah is super intelligent, has a strong and warm personality and feels strongly to make everyone feel good/ at home, she can be sensitive and busy which can make communication difficult, however, she is well aware of this. I am glad that you came but want to add to what you are saying. I hope everyone reads the description of what my farm offers to volunteers, we want people鈥檚 expectations to be inline with the reality here. We teach by example, although while you were here I did have a soil scientist, a biologist, here helping with the volunteers and she gave many micro learning sessions on soil, amendments, + always there are the incredible local employees here who know so much. Me, I have a full time job, when you were here I was hiring a project manager for it and my long days were coupled with many interviews and many new clients. To me, it is challenging when people volunteering are intent on having a conversation when I say I have a meeting in 5 minutes on Zoom, I need to be there. It is hard for me when people cannot respect that and they feel like I am not meeting my obligations (kindly, read our description). We very much enjoy chill people who like to explore their interests, add to our project and can engage in farm related tasks without too much explanation, (certainly with too many expectations from me directly). If you come with that mindset I believe you will get more than what you expect. Thank you.

I just recently had this amazing experience with Sarah. She has so many ambitious projects that really exited me. The fruits and the meal there were so fresh, also It's a quite nice and peaceful place to be. The volunteering and the workers there were so nice and friendly, Nelly has all my trust, also Sarah's fiends in Huiro are the best, they're always willing to give you a helping hand. Sarah encourages you to develop your capabilities and is open to dialogue if you have any request. I made there some good friends, and I'm going to miss them all

My experience at the project was very nice. The place is huge, covered by beautiful nature and very deep in the jungle/forest. Sarah is very caring and funny. She also loves to cook and there're tons of options at the kitchen for volunteers to prepare whatever they might like. In general, I felt very comfortable and also gained weight lol :)

My two weeks at the project were nothing short of remarkable, and a time that I will forever cherish and remember. Sarah creates a wonderfully abundant space; abundant in experiences, food, opportunities to explore, diverse in the work that you can do, and the farm permits the exploration of any creative endeavour you might have. I have felt very supported and loved in my photography around the farm, and appreciate the opportunity to expand my skills in my craft. thank you Sarah for being so welcoming, kind and open hearted. I spent 4 weeks on the farm with my girlfriend. It was an amazing experience. Besides some basic tasks we had our own project. Sarah is a welcoming person with a clear vison. The farm and its surrounding is beautiful. I can highly recommend a visit.

I spent four weeks on the farm with my boyfriend. We really enjoyed our time. The daily tasks were very varied. You could decided very day what you wanted to do. Tasks ranged from painting, helping in the kitchen, picking coffee, sowing, working with the machete to implementing your own small projects. We build a spiral for butterflies with puddling area. Sarah is very hospitable and you have a lot of freedom. You can organize the evenings as you wish with the other volunteers, cooking, playing games, spending time around the l. At the weekends we always went on excursions.

I had an amazing experience at the farm! I learned so much about the beautiful natural diversity around, the permaculture, fruit picking, building out of scratch, the insects, and cooking with creativity. I also feared my fears living in the jungle area! Sarah not only is a great woman leading the farm by herself, she is also caring for our wellbeing and makes sure we have a good time at the farm and visiting the surrounding. She also helps the local community in more than one beautiful way and seems appreciated by all. Her local team is made of locals who speak spanish and are all lovely :)

This is an incredible project and a great opportunity to learn about farming and permaculture practices Sarah is passionate, dedicated and has some unique rules but allows the volunteers to be independant while incorperating their skills and ideas. The animals are great, the local employees are amazing and all the other travellers I volunteered with were incredible. If you have the option this experience is a must!

Thank God, it was another wonderful experience for us. The only thing I regret is that, because we don't speak English and speak little Spanish, this greatly reduces our interaction between all the other volunteers and hosts. Even so, everyone tried to talk to us and always paid attention to us. Sarah is a person of faith and God-fearing and we had several opportunities to pray together, becoming a wonderful bond. Sarah, I appreciate your kindness, generosity, and awareness. Big hug to dear Nelida, Pascoala, Rosa and Mr Francisco. The kittens and dogs in the house are blessings
