The experience

Being Close to Nature: Planting seeds, maintaining land, and learning about organic pest management, and soil health is part of day-to-day life. The farm currently has cats, dogs, chickens, geese, turkeys, ducks, cuy, and rabbits. We are passionate about reforestation, biodiversity, and soil health.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Come help out in our farm and germinate seeds, work with soil and natural amendments and things like biochar, compost tea, vermiculture, and hugelkuture.


Activities & Shift

Volunteers meet in the kitchen at 8 am in the morning.
Around 9:30, have a large breakfast. We love to cook here. All volunteers help clean up after the meal. Then, generally will work until lunch break. If more hours are needed to complete the 5 hours then someone would work after lunch. We provide 3 meals a day. Dinner is often a simple soup.


Rules

There is no drinking or drug use allowed here.
We listen to music that makes plants grow.
New Volunteers need to arrive Monday through Thursday.
