The experience
Be part of our sustainability journey in Uganda! We run several community-based farming projects that support our childrenβs center and local families. From raising animals πππ to gardening and eco-projects, your help contributes directly to food security and income for the community.
This role is perfect for volunteers who enjoy working outdoors, love animals, and want to learn (or share) skills in sustainable farming and rural development.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Requirements
Beginner English
Between 18 and 75 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Volunteers can participate in:
π Caring for poultry, goats, pigs, rabbits, and turkeys.
πΎ Gardening, planting, and maintaining crops.
π οΈ Helping with small farm improvements and maintenance.
π Supporting eco-projects that promote sustainability and community self-reliance.
Activities & Shift
20 hours per week (approx. 4 hours per day).
2 days off weekly.
Flexible tasks depending on season and needs.
Rules
Be respectful and responsible with animals and tools.
Follow safety instructions during farm work.
No alcohol or drugs before or during activities.
Be a team player, reliable, and open to learning.
