Come volunteer and help us at Cooee Farm in Australia

The experience

Ideally looking for couples that can work the land both on my property and the elderly landowners that surround me. Your week will be divided up between helping me resurrect my veg patch and garden and helping neighbours with tasks on their property. Meals are available but there will be times when you will have to cook for yourself. You will have access to Wilson's Prom and surrounding parks and towns in downtime for camping and hiking.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

I have four raised beds to grow seasonal fruit and vegetables that need tending. Neighbouring elderly landowners will require help with general duties on their farms. I'm generally away for three days each week when you will need to fend for yourself in the kitchen.
General help around the home to keep it tidy would also be expected.

Activities & Shift

The requirement is mainly gardening chores, and help with neighbours chores.

Rules

Would appreciate autotune music of the modern era kept to a low level when I'm about (I get enough from my 11yo daughter who lives elsewhere). Water is from a tank so considerate use of the shower. Be kind and friendly to visitors. No smoking in the house. Cook at least once a week a meal from your homeland that we can enjoy.
