The experience

Join us at a welcoming hostel in Quito’s historic center, ideal for climbers, backpackers, and travelers adjusting to the Andes. As a housekeeping volunteer, you’ll help keep our space cozy and clean for guests from all over the world🛏️

If you enjoy organizing, tidying up, and working behind the scenes, this is a perfect opportunity to contribute while living in the heart of the city❤️


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Requirements

Intermediate Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 20 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

Your role will focus on daily cleaning tasks and helping maintain a warm and tidy atmosphere throughout the hostel. You'll be part of a team that ensures our guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

🧹 Main tasks include:

-Making beds and helping prepare rooms for new arrivals
-Sweeping and tidying common areas
-Keeping the guest kitchen clean and organized
-Occasional help with laundry or cleaning windows
-Helping keep the storage and supply areas organized

Activities & Shift

You’ll usually help 4–6 hours per day, 5 days a week, leaving you plenty of time to explore Quito’s museums, parks, and colorful markets.
