As a volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in collecting data from local communities, building accurate child profiles, and running online fundraising campaigns that directly benefit the children we serve. This is a unique opportunity💛


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 6 Per day

Fee pays for: Donation to project

Description: Volunteers are kindly requested to contribute a $6 USD fee to help cover food costs as a cost sharing fee . Please note that this fee does not include transportation or other personal expenses.


What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Swahili

Between 20 and 65 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Our program focuses on providing holistic care and support to children in vulnerable communities. Volunteers are key to helping us better understand and respond to each child’s unique situation.

Your role will include:

🌱 Gathering field data by visiting families and schools in the villages
💻 Creating and updating child profiles to ensure targeted support
📢 Launching and managing fundraising campaigns to raise awareness and generate vital resources

You’ll not only help connect children with support, but also share their stories with the world—inviting others to take part in this journey of hope and transformation. Whether you're passionate about child welfare, data management, storytelling, or social good, your contribution will have lasting impact.


Activities & Shift

Schedule: 5 hours/day, 6 days/week (1 days off)
Available Shifts: Monday to Saturday | You can choose your shift between 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Volunteer Tasks Include:

🏠 Field Visits: Collect background and needs-based information directly from children and families in the community.

🗂️ Data Entry & Profile Building: Organize and input collected data into our system to develop individual child profiles.

🌐 Online Fundraising: Plan, promote, and manage fundraising campaigns to support our programs and raise global awareness.

💬 Storytelling Support (optional): Help craft short bios or testimonials to share children's stories in a respectful and impactful way.
