Program Details

We expect that you are proactive during your working hours. We are only a couple running this business and not always can guide you through everything personally. After carefully ensuring that you know how to do things and provide you a list of what needs to be done, we are hoping that you can, independently pass from one work to another, filling the gaps, depending on what needs to be done on the day.

Activities & Shift

This is immersed in Nature (Rokua UNESCO Geopark) but only 30 mins to the city of Oulu by direct bus. Wonderful trails start at the park, and you can use the water equipments (kayak, SUP, canoe) with 50% discount (10 euros - 2 hours)
We can also use the rowing boat for free as long as it is not rented by guests.
There are grills and lounge areas where you can just relax by the river.
We welcome families and there is a lot for children to do.
We are talkative and nice people, and hopefully we can share nice chatting moments, also with guests, or neighbours. People are really nice and they might invite you to their house or walks.
Our shifts may vary, specially if there is an event going on, so it would be great that you are flexible.
Mostly however it might be in the morning for Check out/Check in maintenance.

Rules

As a tourism business being nice and polite is absolutely essential. Tourists (or locals) may ask information from you, even if you are just mowing the lawn.

Finland is very strict with alcohol rules and we follow up. Drinking your own alcoholic beverages is possible only inside your cottage or its terrace. Drinking in the yards or common lounges is forbidden. As with paying guests, we also reserve the right to cancel your stay if you are drunk or disturbing others.
Nevertheless, we might all occasionally share a home fermented beer at the Glass Room after a tiring or successful day.
Guests and night guests are not allowed without information and permission.
