The experience

We are a small, community-based nonprofit organization in Jinja City dedicated to supporting vulnerable mothers and their children, including children with disabilities. Our work focuses on women’s empowerment, early childhood care, and inclusive education.

By joining us, you’ll help uplift women through skills training, assist with daily care of children, and take part in building hope and dignity in our community.


What you offer

5 hours of help per day

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 15 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Volunteers will contribute $15 to cover for the listed below; Accommodation: A comfortable shared room in our volunteer house • 3 Local Meals Daily: Healthy Ugandan dishes made with love • Utilities: Clean water, electricity, internet access (where available) • Support: Orientation, 24/7 assistance, and cultural guidance • Project Contribution: Part of your fee supports educational materials, food, and hygiene supplies for the children


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Fluent English or Intermediate Swahili

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers
