Hi everyone! I’m MiMi, an English teacher from Vietnam 🇻🇳. I run a small home-based English center where underprivileged children learn English in a warm and supportive environment. We believe in kindness, sharing, and growing together. 🌱✨

We’d love to welcome you to our home to support English classes and enjoy an immersive cultural exchange. 🌏💬

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

🌟 Volunteer Role
You’ll become part of our family and help out with:

🕔 Evening English Classes (5pm–8pm):
• Support kids with speaking, pronunciation & games
• Assist me during class (1.5–3.5 hours/day)

🌞 Morning (occasionally):
• Light childcare (help me with my 1-year-old daughter 👶)
• Help with cooking or cleaning if classes aren’t scheduled

🧼 Daily Help:
• Wash a few dishes 🥣
• Help me prepare simple meals when possible 🍳

🛏️ What We Offer
🏡 Private Room Includes:
• Big bed 🛏️, desk, chair, air conditioning ❄️ & fan 🌬️
• Free Wi-Fi 📶, water, snacks, fruit, tea 🍉🍵
• Hot water shower 🚿

🍽️ Meals:
• We share meals using ingredients in the kitchen
• Sometimes you may cook/eat alone due to my schedule
• You’re welcome to shop at the local market or ask me to buy something you like 🛍️

📅 Duration
• Minimum stay: 1 month
• Longer stays are welcome and possible based on mutual agreement 💬
• Please ensure your visa/legal status in Vietnam ✅

🛵 Local Life & House Rules
🔹 Transport: I can lend you a bike or motorbike (short distances only) 🚴‍♂️
🔹 Safety: Don't visit neighbors alone 🙅‍♂️
🔹 Privacy: Please say you're “a friend visiting my family.” Don’t share info about the class with others (especially locals, my husband or in-laws) 🤫
🔹 Talk to Me: If anything makes you uncomfortable, let me know! 🫶

📱 Get a Vietnamese SIM card & exchange some local currency before arrival 💰
🐶 We have dogs, so you must be dog-friendly!
