Need help from Chinese Native Speaker in Hanoi, Vietnam


The experience

We are looking for a volunteer who is fluent in Chinese to teach for my daughter and her classmates. They are grade 6, learn Chinese Language Major at Secondary school. We run a small class at my house after school time (we rent a house 300m from school) so they can have some advanced lessons.
The Chinese volunteers must have at least basic English conversation, because we are very beginner at Chinese.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Fluent Chinese and Intermediate English

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We are a family with 5 children, 11 years old twin and 4 year old daughter. My husband is working as an interior construction and I am working online at home. We are in a busy area of Hanoi, but in a quiet alley. We rent this house for purpose to be more convenient for our children's education.
We looking for Chinese volunteers to help my children and their classmates with the aim to create a good education environment for them.


Activities & Shift

2.30-4.30: Play with my little daughter (4 year old) in Chinese environment
5-6.30: Teach my older daughter who is 11 years old and her classmates (10 in total) with some books, given study materials.
All of them are fluent in English.
