The experience

Join a joyful family-based learning experience in the mountains of Bulgaria!
We’re looking for a kind, proactive, creative person to help care for and engage our 5-year-old son, Simeon. He’s curious, energetic, and loves science experiments, building, crafting, music, and exploring nature.

What you offer

6 hours of help per day

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Program Details

Our home is a creative, nature-connected space where art, fashion, and education meet. This help is strongly focused on science and hands-on exploration, while also including general childcare and learning support. You’ll be supporting the early development of a highly curious and energetic child through daily STEM activities, simple physics and chemistry experiments, invention-style challenges, LEGO building, problem-solving games, and learning through discovery.

You’ll be part of a unique lifestyle project led by two fashion designers and artists. Volunteers stay in a nearby hotel, with daily transfers provided — all covered by us.

You’ll have your own space, daily connection with the family, and the chance to actively contribute to a nurturing learning environment built around curiosity, experiments, creativity, and care.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers help 5–6 hours per day. Shifts are flexible (morning or afternoon), and include:

- Hands-on STEM learning: simple physics experiments, mini engineering challenges, LEGO building, and playful cosmic adventures 🚀
- Support during online school lessons (helping with focus, transitions, and understanding) 💻
- Nature walks, outdoor play & physical activity (movement, coordination, science in nature!) 🌿
- Participating in artistic projects: drawing, crafting, and creative expression 🎨
- Reading, storytelling & early literacy
- Supporting early math skills through playful, creative methods
- Mindfulness & body awareness: gentle yoga, breathing exercises, grounding moments, and simple meditation (very welcome) 🧘‍♂️

We love Montessori-inspired or Waldorf-style approaches — but curiosity, initiative, presence, and the ability to actively engage matter most. Coming prepared with ideas and planning activities around the child’s interests is highly encouraged.
We value active engagement, curiosity, and presence over passive babysitting.
