The experience
Come stay with us in our welcoming family home in Karonga, near beautiful Lake Malawi! We’re looking for friendly volunteers who’d like to experience local life, explore the lake, and taste authentic Malawian food. You’ll have the chance to cook and enjoy traditional meals with us, visit nearby markets, and discover the area’s natural beauty and culture.
What you offer

Tour Guide:
Organize and lead tours around the city.
Party Promoter:
Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Description:
We ask for a small daily contribution of $13 to help cover the cost of meals, utilities, and basic household expenses during your stay. This allows us to provide a comfortable, safe home, home-cooked local food, and a welcoming cultural experience.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Bikes at your disposal:
You can use our bikes any time you want.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
