Rules

🎤 Street Performance Guidelines & Rules

1. Respect the Space & Time

Perform only in designated areas (e.g., courtyard, street corner, bar patio).

Keep set lengths reasonable (typically 45–60 minutes).

2. Volume Control

Keep music at an appropriate level for the space—loud enough to be heard, but not disruptive.

Use acoustic instruments or battery-powered amps (if allowed).

3. Be Mindful of the Audience

Perform family-friendly content unless otherwise agreed.

Interact with the crowd respectfully—no pressuring for tips or attention.

4. Clean Up After Yourself

Take all gear, trash, and belongings when done.

If using the space for setup (e.g., bar area), return everything as you found it.

5. No Aggressive Soliciting

Tips are appreciated but never expected—let guests give freely.

Do not block foot traffic or cause a nuisance to surrounding businesses or guests.

6. Respect Other Performers

Collaborate or jam only if invited.

7. Safety First

Make sure cables, gear, and props are safely set up.

No open flames, dangerous stunts, or anything that could harm others or property.

8. If You're Not Performing…

Help out behind the bar or with other duties at the hostel you are volenteering at (if you're part of a volunteer program).

10. Represent the Space

As a performer, you're also representing the hostel or venue. Be professional, kind, and fun
