Blue was an amazing boss to work for. He made sure all of my needs were met and that I was happy. He immediately helped me when other volunteers were keeping me awake at night. It was a good partnership. He's trying to manage a lot of departments and some things are still a work in progress at the hostel, but I felt that he was genuinely doing his best to make sure I had what I needed and felt supported. This was a very valuable experience for me and I grew a lot as a yoga teacher during my time here.

To volunteer here mostly you just need to play mario cart and pool with the guests to entertain them, but since it's low season some days there's few people in the lobby to play with. You should also plan activities in the evenings to attract more people to come to the lobby, like quiz night or music bingo. Tina is the volunteer coordinator and she is so kind and helpful! As a volunteer you also get 50% off food and drinks at the hostel. The atmosphere is nice because everyone is so friendly and the accommodation is good.

It is located in a beautiful and very peaceful island (at least in slow season) very close to Ha Long Bay. Definitely my favourite perk was to switch classes with Holly (the other yoga teacher) and give and receive feedback while keeping a lively atmosphere for guests. Also the social dinners were great to connect with other travellers. I wanted a getaway with the opportunity to go deeper in my teaching practice and totally got it.

I had a great time in Catba. Felt very included and at home. Made content for tiktok and Instagram and took pictures to update Booking.com and Hostelworld. I had a lot of creative freedom and a weekly meeting with Emanuel to agree on the strategy and talk about ideas and goals. I was there doing low season so Catba and the hostel was very quiet which made it hard to capture the vibe of the hostel.

The hostel was my first hostel volunteer experience, and it was amazing! I met so many travelers from all corners of the world, and I got along with the Vietnamese staff as well! The working hours were respected, the tasks are manageable, and the hostel is also open to new ideas. I mostly do night shifts, which means I get the entire day to explore the island and do all the side quests. Big shoutout to Terri for being the best volunteer coordinator out there!

I loved my time in the hostel, I met so many people, the working hours were respected, I had time to enjoy the day, I was the yoga instructor so I just did one hour yoga class a day. Maybe for another roles is more demanding time. The food in the restaurant is good we had 50 percent discount so it's convenient. We had a fruit gathering once a week for the volunteers and Terri our volunteer coordinator was awesome.i loved everything. Thank you the hostel!

Everything about this volunteer experience was excellent. The atmosphere with the other volunteers was incredible, as was the connection with the guests and the local people. I definitely recommend volunteering here if you want a place to hang out, have fun, and enjoy the beach.

It was nice to be in the hostel Cát Bá, I had the opportunity to meet great people, Worldpackers, guests and the staff, learned about their expreinces. I just wish to stay more time and create and plan other kind of content for the social media, I hope that my collaboration in this area has helped make the impact they need, but I learned too much and maybe in the future for other volunteering experience it would help me.

My stay at the hostel was great! They were very flexible with the tasks and anything else I wanted! I once did a double shift and they paid me for it! They don't expect too much work, and the atmosphere there is really nice! I definitely recommend volunteering here! There's always other volunteers and they let us distribute tasks amongst ourselves! I was teaching yoga, and I had the flexibility to do whatever I wanted with the classes, including moving them to the roof and starting them slightly later! They are open to feedback and comments and actually implement changes!
