Program Details

We’re a family of four based in Avoca Beach, a relaxed seaside town on the NSW Central Coast, about 1.5 to 2 hours north of Sydney. It’s a very outdoors-focused place with beaches, parks, and nature all around.

What we offer
- Accommodation: You will have your own room and board. The bathroom is shared with the kids at times.
- Pocket money: We will pay you weekly pocket money.
- Support: We see you as part of our family and want you have the best time possible during your stay in Australia. This is a cultural exchange, and we want you to enjoy your experience here.
- Grocery shopping: We organise the grocery shopping. If there’s anything specific you’d like us to get, just let us know.
- Transport: The area is serviced by buses to nearby train stations with links to Sydney and Newcastle. We’re happy to drop you off at times. You can use our car when we don’t need it, and we also have an electric scooter you can use. You’re responsible for any vehicle damage if used outside work hours.

What we're looking for:
- Be part of the household: We appreciate your help with everyday tasks like cooking a meal now and then, emptying the dishwasher, or vacuuming.
- Outdoor activities: We expect you to take the kids out to the park, playground, or elsewhere at least once a day to play and socialise. Coco also enjoys playing with the neighbour’s kids next door when they’re home from school.
- Preschool drop-offs / pick-ups: We will ask for your help when needed to drop off and/or pick up the eldest from preschool, which is only a few minutes drive away from our home.
- When you get a moment during working hours - vacuuming, meal preparation, laundry, and other light tasks you feel comfortable doing.
