The experience
Join our vibrant open-air weekend events at Torrington Park, Kandy—starting 14th/15th August! We're seeking DJs, party promoters, bartenders & waitresses. Respect for Sri Lanka’s cultural & religious values is key. Local Kandy artists, including MCs & live loopers, will headline. Be part of a unique blend of music, community, and tradition. Volunteers should be open-minded and culturally aware.
What you offer
8 hours of help per day
Music:
Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.
Party Promoter:
Help organise and promote parties and social activities.
Bartending:
Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.
What you get
4 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Details
This agreement outlines the terms and conditions for individuals applying to participate as DJs, Party Promoters, Bartenders, or Waitresses for the weekend events commencing 14th/15th August and continuing every weekend thereafter.
Application Requirements
All applicants must provide a portfolio including links to their website and/or social media profiles showcasing relevant experience.
Cultural & Religious Sensitivity
Applicants are expected to demonstrate respect and understanding of Sri Lankan cultural and religious values.
Conduct must reflect local sensibilities, particularly regarding dress code, music content, and alcohol service.
Collaboration with Local Artists
Selected individuals will be expected to collaborate respectfully with local Kandy-based artists, including MCs and live looping performers, who will lead the stage presence.
Professionalism
Punctuality, responsibility, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards are essential.
Misconduct or violation of any local laws or event guidelines will result in immediate dismissal.

Activities & Shift
All volunteers must arrive at the hostel one day before the event for event ID issuance, costume check, make-up, media interviews, and awareness sessions. On event day, participants must be on standby from noon until the event concludes. Full-day presence and active participation are required.
