What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Administration:
Help with booking systems and payments.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Requirements
Fluent English or Fluent Spanish
Between 20 and 40 years old

Program Details
Volunteering with a 5-hour workday, 5 days a week. Reception hours are from 7 AM to 1 AM, with rotating shifts. Minimum commitment is 2 weeks. Includes shared dorm accommodations, breakfast, and special discounts on tours.
Be part of the Pituco Hostel team and experience Mendoza! We're looking for proactive travelers eager to immerse themselves in local and global culture. Help us maintain a "Pituco" atmosphere: comfortable, clean, and full of good energy for our guests, who are our number one priority.
Activities & Shift
Breakfast Shift (7 AM - 12 PM): Prepare and maintain breakfast (croissants, coffee, etc.). Collect guest debts. Clean dining room and dishes. Check available beds in the system and in rooms.
Intermediate Shift (10 AM - 3 PM): Assist at the front desk. Dismantle beds for checkouts. Make up available beds (priority check-ins). Receive/deliver laundry linens. Clean kitchen, patio, and common areas.
Siesta Shift (3 PM - 8 PM): Assist at the front desk. Turn off lights/air conditioning in rooms. Check stock (cleaning/breakfast). Clean refrigerators, sweep under beds. Replenish breakfast. Remove trash bags. Clean bathrooms.
Night Shift (8 PM - 1 AM): Assist at the front desk. Turn on lights in common areas. Collect debts. Prepare breakfast items (coffee maker, supplies). Keep kitchen clean. Remove trash. Remind quiet hours (midnight). Clean the living room, kitchen, and bathrooms. Take trash out to the street.
Rules
Security: No one enters without a reservation. The main door and gate are always locked. Keys to private rooms are given and returned.
Guests: Priority #1. Know their names, interests, and account information. Spend time with them, help connect. Plan activities.
Order and Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in all shared areas, bathrooms, and rooms. Bathrooms stocked with supplies and clean (floors, walls, mirrors, and showers free of hair). Kitchen free of dirty dishes, clean countertops, and refrigerator checked daily. Patios, front porch, and dining room are swept/clean. Rooms: Beds made, floors clean, lockers empty/clean. Trash in trash cans.
Communication: Use WhatsApp for guest and group information. No purchases from street vendors.
Check-in: Welcome, request ID (photo on WhatsApp). Check payment method (10% surcharge with credit card, photo receipt). Register on BananaDesk. Welcome message via WhatsApp. Towels offered (rental $500). Introduce facilities and rules. Complete checkout form.
Other: Turn off lights/air conditioning in empty rooms. Quiet hours from 1 AM to 7 AM. Do not use common areas.
