The experience

I am looking for help cleaning, changing beds, and some gardening in exchange for simple off grid living in beautiful countryside 5 minutes from Lagos Centre and the stunning beaches.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English or Beginner Portuguese

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Hours are generally very flexible and as long as the work is done can fit around your holiday time or another job. I run an airbnb, and have two small children so there is constant cleaning and laundry etc to be done. I live on 4 acres so there is also maintenance of the land to be done if the house doesn't need anything!

Accommodation is in a large tent in our beautiful garden. Very quiet and secluded. There is a purpose built decking area with dining table and sofa. The tent has a proper double bed inside. We have an off grid toilet and sink on the same level as the tent. Further up towards the main villa is a large solar shower and a kitchenette area with fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster, and large sink. You are welcome to do a load of laundry for free each week.

Activities & Shift

Daily activities will consist of cleaning, laundry, making beds, etc, as well as some gardening. If you are a bit handy there are often simple DIY tasks to do as well. You will have at least two days off per week.

Rules

No smoking is allowed anywhere on the property.
