Program Details
Are you ready for a truly immersive and impactful journey into the heart of Nepali culture? This is not a typical volunteer position. As a Community Impact Ambassador, you will be the hands and heart of our outreach efforts, serving where the need is greatest.
Our program is built on the principle of flexible, responsive support. Instead of a fixed role at our home base, you will be placed with one of our trusted local partners—either a school in need of support or an elderly care home that would benefit from your compassion. This program is designed for the volunteer who is open-hearted, adaptable, and wants to make a tangible difference while experiencing Nepal on a deep, authentic level.
Your placement may be within the bustling city or in a quiet, nearby rural community, offering you a unique and varied perspective on local life. We go where we are needed, and you will be a vital part of that mission.
How Our Volunteer Program Works
Placement Based on Need: Upon your arrival and orientation, we will assess the most current needs of our community partners and assign you to a placement. This ensures your energy is directed where it will have the most immediate and positive impact.
Full Immersion: Whether you are in a school or an elder care home, you will work alongside local staff and become a part of their daily rhythm. This is a chance to build genuine relationships and understand the culture from the inside out.
Logistical Support: We handle all the logistics for you. If your placement is outside the city, we will arrange your transport and ensure you have safe, comfortable accommodation and meals provided for you at the site. Your well-being is our priority.
Community & Home Base: Our house remains your home base. You are part of our core family, and you'll spend

Your Mission: To provide companionship and support to elders, bringing joy, dignity, and a sense of connection to their daily lives.
Potential Activities:
Spending quality time in conversation, sharing stories, or reading newspapers/books aloud.
Assisting with light daily activities and mobility where appropriate.
Organizing gentle activities like board games, listening to music, or light gardening.
Being a compassionate and attentive listening ear for those who need to feel heard.
Shift Structure & Logistics
Flexibility is the most important aspect of this role. The schedule will be set by the host organization you are placed with to match their operational needs.
Weekly Schedule: You will volunteer 5 days a week, typically Monday to Friday.
Days Off: Saturday and Sunday are your days off to rest, recharge, and explore the incredible beauty of Nepal.
Daily Hours: Work hours are generally during the daytime (e.g., a 5 to 6-hour shift between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM), but the exact times will depend on your placement's schedule.
