🌿 Help with Greek Cooking Classes in the Heart of Athens
The experience
Are you passionate about food, culture, and meeting people from around the world? Join us at our vibrant Greek cooking class venue in central Athens! We're just steps from Omonia Square and surrounded by colorful markets, cafés, and historical landmarks.
You'll assist our friendly chef in creating authentic Greek dishes while gaining insight into the local culture. This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of a warm, welcoming environment!
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Fast Internet Access:
High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English
Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Your main tasks:
Assisting the chef during classes (passing ingredients, helping guests, setting up tools)
Basic kitchen prep (cutting vegetables, preparing trays and ingredients)
Keeping the kitchen tidy during and after the session
Light housekeeping or general venue care on non-class days (no deep cleaning – we have a professional cleaner weekly)
You will not be the one who does the actual cooking, just assisting.
You'll interact with travelers from around the world, so a friendly and open attitude is essential.
You'll also have access to the kitchen and ingredients to cook your own meals, and we offer flexible free days depending on our class schedule.
At the moment, we are only looking for 1 volunteer!
The volunteer will be staying in a room at the cooking venue.
Activities & Shift
On class days:
Prep the space and ingredients
During the class, support the chef and guests, keep the space clean and organized
After class, assist with dishes (dishwasher available), sweep, help reset the space
On non-class days:
Light tasks like organizing supplies, tidying balconies, or helping with the general upkeep of the space
25 hours/week with 2 days off (flexible and upon discussion)
Rules
Keep the kitchen clean and tidy
No smoking indoors
Please respect the space and keep it clean and tidy at all times. You’ll be sharing some common areas with the cooking class venue, so it's important not to leave any personal mess, especially when we're expecting guests.
