Program Details
The Bvungu Village Health Clinic Project is a community-driven initiative led by Nego Foundation to improve access to healthcare in Bvungu Village, Malawi. Currently, villagers walk approximately 14 kilometers to the nearest health facility, a distance that has led to preventable deaths, unsafe childbirth, and delayed treatment for critical illnesses.
The program aims to construct and equip a health clinic that will serve as a lifeline for the community. The clinic will provide:
Primary healthcare services such as treatment of common diseases, wound care, and maternal health.
Maternal and child health care, including safe deliveries, antenatal and postnatal care, and child immunizations.
Health education and preventive services to combat preventable illnesses through awareness and early intervention.
Community outreach services, ensuring even the most vulnerable groups receive care.
By establishing this facility, the program will reduce unnecessary deaths, empower families with better health services, and bring dignity and hope back to Bvungu Village.
This project is a partnership between Nego Foundation, community members, and well-wishers, with the shared vision of creating lasting solutions to healthcare challenges in rural Malawi.
