Overall, this volunteering experience was enjoyable. Mantra is a fun person to talk to. The hostel is also the place where many internationals with interesting stories come together. However, there are points that you should be aware of: this opportunity is more like a job rather than volunteering. You will have to work 25 hours instead of 20 stated on the profile. The host might take advantage of you unless you set boundaries. In general, if you expect a unique experience, the hostel Lions is ok place to stay for some time. And if you are lucky, you can meet some great co-travellers on your way

I have had a lovely time at the the hostel. The dorm is good, with wonderful AC. Free clothes washing is always great. A fridge and kitchen are also always great. Mantra the owner is wonderful and kind. Caring for her guests and volunteers.

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and it couldn't have been better! Mantra is an amazing host and a fun person to be around who always makes sure that everyone feels welcomed. Even in stressful situations she tries to come up with solutions. The workload was really fair and nothing too hard! My days off were also really flexible. I genuinely enjoyed my stay so much and loved exploring the island and meeting so many new people: other volunteers, travelers, and locals!

I loved volunteering at the hostel Wolf. The work was easy and Mantra helped to make sure I understood the role. She's very easy going and friendly and tries to get all the guests together for evening activities. The volunteer room is basic but cozy, but the rest of the hostel is relatively new. I would have liked to have a water filter station and somewhere to cook but understand the hostel is still getting done up and that is eventually the goal. Can absolutely recommend to anyone and Langkawi is a great place to visit!

Mantra is very welcoming. Would help even the most introverted person come out of their shell. Normal hostel work - very clear duties.

My experience in the hostel wolves was amazing, I really enjoyed my days volunteering, Mantra is a genius in every way, always willing to help you and teach you things, I met great people and I would do it again. The tasks are very simple and depend on the schedule and arrival of guests, reception and cleaning in general. Very good volunteering!

Volunteering at the hostel Lions has been great, Mantra is an incredible person who is always there. The work is very relaxed, nothing that anyone who has volunteered in a hostel isn't used to. Good facilities in the volunteer rooms, the location of the hostel is also very good and the hours are respected and Mantra is very flexible about day off. I left Langkawi with a new family.
