Volunteer to Grow Our Sanctuary
The experience
We are a couple who live with our dog on a peaceful property in the remote Far North of New Zealand. We are looking for volunteers to help us establish gardens, orchard and medicinal meadow. Tasks include weeding, planting and sowing, as well as general landscaping work. In return, we offer a private cabin, meals, and private access to sauna, gym, and hot tub. Program Details
We are looking for volunteers to help us with de-weeding, planting, sowing seeds, and some landscaping as we transform our rural property into gardens, orchard, and medicinal meadow. We ask for around 4–5 hours of help a day, 5 days a week, but we are flexible and it also depends on a weather. No experience is needed just a good attitude, respect for our home and nature.
As we live off the grid and the nearest 'bigger' shop is approx. 25 mins by car, it may be beneficial if you will have your own vehicle to be able to move around and explore all amazing beaches and beauties of Far North without any limitations.
Rules
We value respect, honesty, and open communication. As this is our home, we ask that volunteers treat it with care. No smoking inside, no drugs and no unexpected visitors. We live a quiet lifestyle, so please respect peaceful hours in the evenings. Volunteers are expected to clean up after themselves, respect shared spaces, and be kind to our dog. We are able to cater for gluten free and low carb individuals but other dietary requirements need to be discussed in advance. If you are unsure about anything, just ask as we are easygoing but appreciate mindfulness and good boundaries.
