The experience

At our surf skate hostel we sleep around 36 guests and we are looking for a social host volunteer to join us to help us!

At our hostel is very important that we have a vibrant, social atmosphere and we put a lot of work into making this happen! Our aim is to make sure that all guests have friends within the hostel, they always have someone to talk too and that there is always something to do!

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Fluent English

Over 18 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

As a social host, you will spend most of your volunteering time at the hostel, just talking to people, introducing your self to any new guests, trying to engage with everyone and hosting activities. You will be at the hostel for a few hours during the day where it is your opportunity to speak with any new checkins etc, and you are also expected to host 1 group activity per day. Our group activities can be family dinners, skate sessions, sunset walks, beach volleyball, trivia nights, party nights etc!

Anything to engage with most of our guests where you think you will be able engage with most of our hostel group!

Activities & Shift

You will be at the hostel mainly during check in time, to introduce youself to any new guests, and also during the early evenings to interact with everyone! Then you are required to host a group activity every day you are volunteering. It's around 3-4 hours of volunteering daily total, depending on the activity etc! You get 1 day off per week.
