The experience

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable volunteer to assist in our kitchen and bar area. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys cooking, helping in food prep, and learning some basic bartending skills in a relaxed, eco-friendly environment.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Beginner English

Between 18 and 38 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside Dominican Republic


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Responsibilities:
Assist the chef and kitchen staff with food preparation (washing, chopping, plating, etc.)

Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen

Occasionally help serve meals to guests during peak times

Assist at the bar with basic drink preparation (juices, cocktails, cold drinks)

Support during BBQ days or special events (setup, serving, cleanup)

Ensure hygienic standards are followed at all times


Activities & Shift

Work Schedule:
Working hours are divided into three shifts per day:

Breakfast shift – Morning assistance (prepping, cooking, serving)

Lunch shift – Midday kitchen and bar support

Dinner shift – Evening food prep and drink service

You’ll have breaks between shifts and time to rest, explore the area, or enjoy the facilities.

Preferred Skills:
Basic cooking knowledge or willingness to learn

Friendly and service-oriented attitude

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during mealtimes

Any bartending or food service experience is a plus

Spanish language is helpful but not required
