The entire team at this hostel is exceptional, so expect to have a hard time leaving because of that. It's like being with family. And for people like me who are beginners in Spanish, don't worry, they try to speak slowly. The kitchen work isn't complicated, you just have to organize yourself and adapt because there can be very quiet moments as well as much faster ones. For the room, it's a shared room with the guests, so it all depends on these people, it can unfortunately be a bit noisy on certain night. I totally recommend you to volonteer here.

I had a really great time at the hostel! The hostel is really god and central and you have a lot of space to relax and have fun. Juan was an amazing host and really made me feel like family, specially when I was going through hard times. I would definitely recommend to any volunteer!

I had a very enriching experience in the hostel. the hostel was a great place to meet people from around the world and meet Santa Marta as a local. I also had the opportunity to visit the best tourist places around Santa Marta with Juan Carlos and the guests in the hostel. During my stay, I could use the facilities of the hostel including the kitchen, pool, TV room, workspace, and living room. Juan Carlos and his team were like family, very nice people, respectful, always willing to help, and understand my needs.

This was my first volunteer experience with WorldPackers and it was absolutely amazing! The host and hostel staff were very kind, friendly and welcoming, I felt like we became a family by the end of it. The host and I had a language barrier but were able to use google translate to communicate effectively and it encouraged me to learn spanish even more. The hours and requirements were agreed upon on the first day & were balanced well so that I was able to experience life in Santa Marta as well as have time to get my tasks done. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience & I can't wait for the next!

Felt instantly welcomed at the hostel!! Wonderful staff and Juan is super nice☺️although it get super hot here and the aircon is off during the day, it gets pretty uncomfortable sometimes, but great location and people✨

Santa Marta is a paradise on earth and staying at the hostel is an incredible experience because it is a cozy place with a unique energy that has the team. During my volunteering I lived with different people from different countries. Juan Carlos manages all the details so the hostel is clean, tidy and each member of the team knows what he has to do to make the tourist feel at home. It was my first experience living in a hostel and I will definitely come back.

Yo iba quedarme como dos semanas y tuve que cambiar la fecha y el anfitrión fue bien comprensivo. Además de eso nós dá lá total libertad para hacer el trabajo. Lá estructura és bien buena y lá localidad buena. És un hostel para descansar y el anfitrión nós lleva para hacer recorridos para conocer las playas.

Mi experiencia en el hostel fue excelente. Disfruté mucho mi estadía en el lugar; las personas que hacen parte del equipo de trabajo son muy amables!! las tareas que se realizan son sencillas y agradables. El lugar es muy cómodo para descansar y recargar energías, es como estar en casa. La ubicación es muy estratégica, cerca al centro y con buen acceso a rutas de buses, además de estar en un barrio muy tranquilo ❤️

La mejor experiencia de la vida! viajar, conocer nuevas culturas, personas y hacer lo que te gusta. En el hostel, es un hermoso lugar que te sentís como en casa. El personal que es parte del hostel y Juan Carlos son personas increíbles, disfrute mi estadía en Santa Marta y lo mejor en el hostel. Totalmente recomendado disfrutarlo y vivirlo.
