As my first volunteer experience I couldn't have asked for a better place to be. From the start, Manrique made me feel welcome and introduced me to the local culture. Most of the time, I volunteered solo, however it was no problem at all. The work at the finca is quite easy, and if you have some new things you want to try while you are there, Manrique is all about creativity and inspiration (and of life philosophy too) Beyond the Finca, there were always fun activities like jam sessions, salsa lessons, surfing and beach volleyball! Making it at the end, really hard to leave the place

We had an amazing time at the project. The work is fun as we helped to improve the Finca and I got taught a lot of things (f.ex. how to weld). Manrique puts a lot of effort in extra activities and making you feel welcomed. The Finca is around 10min by foot from the next supermarket and 40min by foot from the next beach. But dont worry about that to much as you'll be busy enough what Manrique organizes and even if not there's always someone on the road to catch a ride (hitchhike with). From the bottom of my heart I would recommend going there. Only on thing, bring enough mosquito repellant ;)

I had a great time at the project! Manrique is a very nice Host, he took us to hiking tours to the waterfall or to the beach. We were also able to get in touch with his local friends on little concerts or while surfing. The work was most of the time really fun and not too hard. The rooms are fine and the breakfast was great:) thank you very much for the great time!

Manrique is an inspiring and welcoming host who cares a lot about making your time in the project as fun as possible. Outside of the work hours he took us to see the waterfall, taught us how to surf, showed us around at the local beaches and much more (it was impossible to get bored ;) The work on the farm was relatively easy as we mostly cared for the plants, the chicken, continued working on the bioconstuction and helped to get the place back on track after the rain season. The two cats were adorable and made the stay even better. Overall we had a very good time!

We had an incredible time at the project! Manrique is a very nice host and thaught us a lot about bioconstruction and gardening. The work was often fun and never too much. In our free time Manrique took us to a lot of cool activities like surfing, hiking or a Reggae concert. Thank you very much for these amazing two weeks!

Manrique is awesome. He organizes lots of activities for the volunteers (even if it's raining😉) and it's a real family life. If you want to discover more about plants and flowers, or about yourself, go for it !!

Manrique is a kind and respectful person. He's always willing to show us how things are done here, and sometimes even works alongside us. I met incredible people who helped me improve my English a lot, especially Kenzie and Fanny. I had a wonderful time despite the bad weather during my stay. I highly recommend this place!

Manrique is a fantastic host, and I had a great time with him and the other volunteers! Work is not too complex, yet he always uplifted us and taught us things. As for the activities, we agreed on what we wanted to do at the beginning of our stay, and during our free time, he was always available to gab. I was the last volunteer of the season and I noticed that Manrique made sure I wouldn't feel bored or anything, he took me surfing and eating in great places and I'm grateful for that. I couldn't recommend more!

We loved our stay at the project. Manrique is an amazing host who tried to make us enjoy our stay by taking us to the activities we wanted. We went to a salsa night, to a volleyball afternoon, to a surf session and to a jamming session ! It was awesome !! I really loved having some conversations with Manrique because he is really open minded. This is an experience to live in the jungle (don't be afraid to have some insects in your bed). We spent a really good time working with Manrique and we won't be the same after this experience. Thank you for everything Manrique !

My time at the Finca with Manrique was amazing. I loved that we got the opportunity to build with sustainable clay and other materials. Being surrounded by nature and the local culture was a big plus. Getting to know people both local and international was great and I had a very good time here. Specially seeing the Horseshow in town and going surfing with Manrique. Pizzanight was also awesome, but I have to say my favorite night was when we all went dancing Salsa! Only negative thing about the Finca was leaving too early. Thank you Manrique!!
