What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

We host volunteers from late February to November.
We ask for a minimum stay of 2 weeks to ensure you settle into our rhythm and tasks.
Next opportunities:
Until June 10 → 1 spot available
July 23 – August 9 (possibly longer) → 1–2 spots
From August 21 onwards → 1–2 spots
📍 Location
We are located in the Allier region, Auvergne, central France. Our 1850s farmhouse is on a hill surrounded by fields and forest — peaceful, remote, and beautiful. No traffic, no stress.
👨‍👩‍👧 Who We Are
We are a Dutch family:
Ron & Mariken – Hosts and yoga teachers
Nikola (30) – Naturopath & Yogic therapist
Lily (29) and their daughter Soham (3)
Igor (26) – All involved in running our farm, yoga classes, and a small campsite with cottages
We speak Dutch, English, and French.
We also share our home with 2 dogs, 6 ponies, 5 cats, 7 chickens, and many guests!

We can pick you up from nearby train or bus stops.

Activities & Shift

🤝 What You’ll Help With
Depending on the season, tasks include:
🌱 Gardening: weeding, planting, watering, harvesting
🐴 Animal care: feeding ponies, cleaning fields/stables, chickens
🛠️ Light construction & maintenance: painting, repairs, helping with eco-building projects
🧹 Housekeeping: cleaning cottages, laundry, preparing tents
🍲 Cooking & helping in the kitchen during high season
🚴 Summer activities: assisting with pony rides, canoeing, welcoming guests
You won’t be expected to do everything — we’ll find the right fit for your skills and preferences!

⏰ Hours & Conditions
Work: ~4 hours/day, 6 days/week
Accommodation: Private caravan or wooden hut
Meals:
Healthy breakfast (oats, fruits, nuts)
Shared vegetarian lunch
Light, simple dinner (soup, bread, eggs, leftovers)
