I really loved all the people there! Everyone was so nice and friendly, especially Robbie and Noemi! They really went out their way by helping with planning transportation to my next destination, have really good leadership skills and told us a lot about the flora and fauna at the shelter! All the volunteers were so nice and it was always fun, even when we were cleaning the jungle path or the general cleaning haha :)

The experience was amazing! I stayed with my friend for only a week, but wish we spent longer. There is so much to learn and do

Everyone at the camp is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Luis communicated efficiently and made our preparation for arrival seamless. Noemi welcomed us at the dock and showed us around, made sure we were comfortable and at ease. Robbi is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the surrounding animals, flora, and he shared so much valuable information with us, making me feel like we really learned a lot about the nature in Costa Rica.

This was such a special place and experience. I was only supposed to stay a week but I ended up staying two and I wish I could have stayed longer. I immediately felt so at home. It is a remote camp, and you should expect pretty basic amenities/being surrounded by nature. I learned so much during my time here and the work felt rewarding(even though I did not see a turtle due to weather). I even got to travel to other parts of Costa Rica with fellow volunteers. Thank you Robbie, Daniel and Ara and all my volunteer friends!! I loved this and I highly recommend. Message me with questions!!

I LOVED volunteering here. Know that the turtles don't arrive on our schedule, so if you're at the beginning of the season you might not see them. Despite not seeing the turtles (my main reason for coming) I am pleasantly surprised to report I had a really wonderful & gorgeous time anyway. Being at the camp, you are so connected to nature and soon fall into a rhythm with it. Working with your body for something important really helped change my mental state from the stress and anxiety I normally have at home. Be ready for lots of rice and beans and downtime. Be open and you will enjoy this.

Although I was there during the off season and did not get to work with turtles, I still had a great time! Thank you to Luis, Ara, and Daniel :)

I want to stress that the staff was wonderful and welcoming, especially Robbie, and really did their best to make everyone enjoy the stay. The talks, tours and workshops were great, however the experience was a little different than I expected. Since the camp's beach was destroyed by hurricane, no turtles nest there at the moment. This seemed to be common knowledge but was not communicated despite us asking about tasks beforehand. It felt like the focus is tourism over the cause itself, as it is promoted to big travel groups and influencers. I didn't feel like I made a difference being there.

This trip was good overall. I think having the group of volunteers and girls with me was what made this experience truly wonderful. When arriving it wasn't what we had expected, but Robbie the onsite host was super great in making sure that our needs were met and that he could make the experience better. I was thankful for the opportunity, although there were no turtles, the other opportunities and experiences were once in a lifetime.

I had a great time here through epic trips, there was a lot of miscommunication about what the trip was and what we were doing compared to the other volunteers but had a great time still. It was also very difficult to get to and from

The experience was not what I expected. The beach nearby is eroded and devastated by weather, meaning that turtles can't nest in the area. It was well known for a while yet it wasn't communicated upfront even though we asked about the exact tasks multiple times. There was no work with turtles, our meaningful contribution was very limited. The campsite was basic, the food was simple and lacked nutrients often leaving us hungry. The local staff are lovely though, their passion about nature really shines through! They tried to make everyone's stay enjoyable and we learned a lot from Robbie.
