Volunteering in New Hotel on Socotra Island


The experience

A new hotel is opening on Socotra Island and is looking for Volunteers to get it rolling as from September applicants can apply. Looking forward to hearing from you.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate English

Between 18 and 35 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Yemen


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

They will work in Hotel, and have time also to explore the Island. The Hotel is new they may bring initiatives too accordingly.


Activities & Shift

Needed are waitresses, Spa Staff, sport event organizer, Guest relations and front desk.
