The experience

I'm looking for a suitable couple who are interested in looking after a small beachfront guest house. Use of tcar is included. Position for next year, Sep to Oct or Jul to Aug.
Your roles are to make your guests feel welcome, manage preparation for check-in and out, cleaning, and bed making, etc. Days off to explore the regions.
This position would suit someone with some managerial experience and a high level of customer service experience.


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely


Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 25 and 65 years old

Only welcomes couples and partners (does not accept solo volunteers)

Travel insurance

Program Details

As a couple, you will work together and cover for each other on your days off. Depending on your skills and experience, some cooking may be required, including coffee making. Able to speak Japanese or French would be an advantage, but it is not necessary. You will be immersed in the country lifestyle and regular immersion in the local community.


Activities & Shift

Your days will always be varied depending on guests' arrival and departure.
If not make room for the next guest, you will be cleaning and tidying inside and outside. Preparing food or helping to prepare for an event. If you have a relevant international driver's licence, you could be asked to do grocery runs to the store. This position is a minimum of 4 weeks; however, if mutually agreeable can extend to 8 weeks.
