The experience

We are a relaxed hostel with a friendly atmosphere, but every Wednesday we turn things up with our legendary party night 🎉. We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support us during these events by helping at the bar and managing door entry. On other days, volunteers take part in bar shifts and also help organize fun activities for guests, such as movie nights, games, and social events. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people.

What you offer

Program Details

At Raindance Hostel, we offer volunteers the chance to experience island life on Ometepe while helping us create unforgettable moments for our guests. Our program combines social interaction, event support, and bar responsibilities in a fun and relaxed environment. Volunteers become part of the Raindance family, meeting travelers from all over the world, practicing hospitality skills, and enjoying the unique energy of our hostel.

Activities & Shift

Volunteers will have a variety of responsibilities, mainly focused on guest interaction and bar support.

Assisting at the bar during shifts (serving drinks, restocking, cleaning glasses and bar area).

Supporting our famous Wednesday Wet Wednesday party with bar service and door entry.

Organizing and promoting social activities for guests such as beer pong, karaoke, movie nights, and games.

Helping with small tasks around the hostel, such as keeping common areas tidy.

Shifts are generally 4–6 hours per day, 5 days a week, leaving plenty of free time to explore Ometepe and enjoy the island lifestyle.

Rules

Be respectful and friendly with all guests, staff, and other volunteers.

Stay present and committed during your scheduled shift.

Keep the bar and work areas clean and organized.

Maintain the volunteer house clean and orderly, following the assigned roles for its use.

No excessive drinking while on shift (enjoy responsibly after work).

Support the team and maintain a positive attitude.

Respect hostel property and facilities.
