The experience

We need someone to keep the outside garden pots watered and maintained. Currently we have a few herbs and vegetables growing at the house and we hope you can expand to growing more food that you can use in your cooking and to share with others in the house if there is surplus. My neighbor has a papaya farm that he enjoys having help with and you will get some food for helping him out as well as some papayas and coconuts.

What you offer

5 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Program Details

This position is for someone that enjoys planting seeds and gardening in the house to make the community garden into their own. You will maintain the terrace in front of the house with potted plants and can use the land across the street to expand the garden as you wish. Previous experience is not necessary but we want someone who enjoys being outdoors and working with plants and maintaining the terrace in front of the house.

Activities & Shift

Activities include watering and planting in the house. Working in the neighbors farm is optional if you find the time to help you will be rewarded with meals sometimes. The shift is open to your availability and when the plants need taking care or if the terrace area is dirty after a storm or wind. We leave your hours up to you
