The volunteer experience, housing, people, and flexibility were amazing! The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful in getting us familiarized with Huancayo and our volunteer sites. Every day they offered us an interesting tour or activity. This was a really great first experience, and I recommend.

There is no words to describe this experience. I stayed two weeks with Veronica's parents, Carlos and Rosa, who were extremely welcoming and caring. I learned a lot about animals at the zoo, and the team over there was patient and very nice with me. I was sad to leave after two weeks. Huancayo has a lot to over, and there are very interesting day trips with tour agencies. If you want to discover the Peruvian culture, and meet amazing people, this adventure is for you!

Veronica and Suilma were very nice! They provided me with a great stay and I really loved my experience once I met another volunteer and was able to hang out with them. I think some things were not planned as well as expected but I'm sure the next volunteer will have better communication with the host:)

We had a wonderful experience with Vero and Su! They welcomed us warmly and made us feel part of the family, cared about our physical and emotional well-being and made us discover the Peruvian culture. They offered us social work tailored to our needs and wants, while the amount of work was always sufficient to have some free time. Vero and Su have a lot of meaningful and impactful social projects and we encourage everyone to go and help along 🥰

My experience was perfect! I did not know what to expect, but the host family was very welcoming and gladly showed me their way of life in Huancayo. Nearly everyday there was some new location to see or hike to trek through. I loved every day of my stay and I hope more people can get to experience Huancayo like I did!

As a nurse, I had the opportunity to help in the Health Center, where i could learn and discover the cultural differences and their impact in peoples health. In the children's program with the Huancayo kids I was able to discuss with them about various topics like health, higiene, relationships... with their unique point of view as a feedback. If you feel creative and full of ideas its an ideal proyect to help with! Finally, I could spend some days with the Ashaninka native community, an experience which inspired me to continue with this kind of social work and coming back, thanks Vero!!!
