You'll help us create engaging content—whether through photos, videos, blog posts, or social media updates—that showcases the natural beauty, local culture, and community-driven tourism initiatives in Tanzania.
Your role will involve:
Creating content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, highlighting sustainable tourism experiences, local projects, and environmental conservation efforts.
Promoting responsible travel practices through storytelling and visual media that inspire others to travel responsibly, respect local customs, and support eco-friendly initiatives.
Documenting and sharing your personal travel experiences, from safaris and cultural excursions to beach adventures and local village visits.
Engaging with followers on social media, responding to comments, and spreading awareness about the importance of sustainable tourism.
Collaborating with local businesses to promote eco-friendly accommodations, activities, and tours that benefit the community and the environment.
What You Get:
In return for your support in promoting responsible tourism, you’ll receive:
Free accommodation in local guesthouses or homestays, giving you an authentic Tanzanian experience.
Meals included, prepared by local chefs or host families, so you can taste the rich flavors of Tanzanian cuisine.
Free guided tours and activities, including visits to stunning wildlife parks, cultural heritage sites, pristine beaches, and local markets.
An opportunity to meet and collaborate with like-minded travelers, conservationists, and local communities, all while making a real impact in promoting tourism.
Activities & Shift
1. Guided Tours of Natural Wonders
Safari Excursions: Visit iconic Tanzanian wildlife parks like the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire to capture wildlife and conservation efforts.
Mount Kilimanjaro Hike: Document the journey of trekkers on Mount Kilimanjaro, showcasing eco-friendly trekking practices and responsible tourism in mountainous areas.
Zanzibar Beaches & Historical Sites: Explore Zanzibar's beaches, spice farms, and historical Stone Town, highlighting sustainable travel options like eco-resorts or local community tours.
2. Community-Based Tourism Projects
Local Village Visits: Experience Tanzanian rural life, promoting homestays and community-run businesses that support local economies.
Cultural Exchanges: Participate in activities like cooking classes, traditional music and dance performances, and local art workshops to showcase authentic cultural experiences.
Volunteer with Conservation Groups: Work alongside local conservation groups to support wildlife protection, tree planting, or beach clean-ups, capturing the impact of these initiatives for promotion.
3. Content Creation & Promotion
Create Social Media Posts: Capture and share content—photos, videos, stories—that showcase responsible travel practices, such as minimizing waste, supporting local businesses, and respecting nature.
Write Blog Posts or Articles: Craft travel stories that focus on the benefits of sustainable tourism, including how travelers can support local communities and protect natural resources.
Document Sustainable Travel Practices: Highlight eco-friendly accommodations, transportation options (e.g., bicycles or electric vehicles), and responsible tour operators.
Rules
1. Respect Local Culture & Communities
Be culturally sensitive: Learn about and respect local customs, traditions, and practices. Always act with respect toward the Tanzanian culture, its people, and their way of life.
Seek permission before taking photos or videos: Always ask for consent before capturing images or videos of local people, especially children.
Follow social norms: Dress appropriately for the local culture and the activities you will be participating in, particularly when visiting religious or cultural sites.
2. Responsible Content Creation
Promote responsible tourism: Focus on sharing content that highlights sustainable travel practices, eco-friendly initiatives, and community-based tourism. Avoid over-tourism and showcase the beauty of lesser-known destinations.
Accurate representation: Ensure that all content shared reflects real experiences. Be honest and transparent in your blog posts, social media captions, and videos.
Respect privacy: Do not share personal information or intimate moments of others without their explicit permission.
3. Environmental Responsibility
Leave no trace: Always clean up after yourself. Dispose of waste responsibly and use reusable items like water bottles, bags, and containers to minimize plastic waste.
Support eco-friendly practices: Choose environmentally responsible options for travel, such as local transport, walking, or cycling, and promote these choices in your content.
Respect wildlife: Avoid disturbing wildlife, and always follow guidelines to maintain a safe distance from animals in national parks, reserves, and rural areas.
4. Professionalism & Team Collaboration
Be punctual: Adhere to the schedules for tours, activities, and content creation tasks.
