The experience

Festança is a unique gathering that celebrates dance, ecology, permaculture, and community in the heart of nature. As a backstage support volunteer, you’ll be part of the team responsible for helping the festival run smoothly from behind the scenes. Be part of the behind-the-scenes magic while enjoying the full energy and joy of the festival!

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Additional fee required

Amount: € 100 One time

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: Optional Fee: Camping Setup + Breakfast For €100, we provide you with a full camping setup (tent, sleeping bag and matress) and daily breakfast during the festival. This optional fee can be broken down as follows: • €20 – Breakfast • €40 – Tent • €40 – Sleeping bag + mattress You’re welcome to bring your own gear and/or arrange your own meals if you prefer. This fee is entirely optional — just let us know what you’ll need!

What you get

2 days off per week

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

As a backstage support volunteer, you’ll help organize stages, prepare materials for workshops, assist artists, and contribute to the smooth running of performances. Be part of the behind-the-scenes magic while enjoying the full energy and joy of the festival!

Your tasks may include setting up and maintaining workshop and performance spaces, assisting artists and facilitators with logistics, moving and organizing materials, and providing general support to ensure everything flows with harmony and care.

When not on shift, you’re free to dance, learn, connect, and be inspired!

This is an ideal role for someone communicative, hands-on, and excited to be at the core of what makes the festival unforgettable.

Activities & Shift

Duration: 5 days during the festival
Daily shifts: 4 hours per day

Main tasks:
• Support artists and facilitators with logistics and setup
• Help organize and transport materials for workshops and stage activities
• Assist with setting up and maintaining performance areas
• Be available for general support when needed during festival operations
• Ensure backstage areas remain organized and functional

You’ll have free time before or after your shifts to enjoy the full spirit of the festival.

Rules

To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for everyone:
• No alcohol consumption during your shift
• Arrive on time and check in with the bar coordinator before each shift
• Respect the shift schedule and be open to small adjustments if needed
• Keep a positive, collaborative attitude with guests and the team
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Participation in the full festival dates is required
