I've stayed at the guest house for 1 month and an half and it was a valuable learning experience, since I had to face challenges and deal with the host many times. However, I liked how Ocean was always available to help and talk with the volunteers, especially about explaining accurately the assigned working tasks, which were easy to do. The guesthouse is located in a quiet and cozy neighbourhood so the atmosphere was calm and welcoming. I had an amazing time with the volunteers and the guests; we ate together and partied a lot! I'd definitely recommend you the guest house :-)

Ocean is a great host and the work is well communicated, although the cleaning shift can be tiring. The standards are also understandably high so it's important you are ready to show up and complete the work to high standard. The staff area has the bathroom and bedroom, which can feel a little compact sometimes. I loved the neighbourhood, it's fairly quite with cute cafe/restaurant and well-connected to rest of Seoul and walking distance to hongdae. Free pasta included. Made really good friends and overall good experience:)

The host is polite and respectful but strict and short-tempered. Keep that in mind before applying! The work starts at 11:30 instead of 12, and sometimes we finished past 5 pm. So we were free only after completing all the tasks. There was no Wi-fi in my room. However, the experience itself can be amazing if you have a strong work ethic, and have volunteered before in similar places. I wasn't ready for that the workload and responsibilities and thus was kicked out. There were some misunderstandings but overall I agree with the host's decision.
