The experience
Join our Homestay Helper Program: we’re a small, family-run homestay offering simple dorm-style accommodations in a cozy, local setting. As a volunteer, you’ll help with a bit of everything—reception, housekeeping, and guest interaction. It’s a great way to experience authentic local life while supporting a small community-based business. We keep things basic, but warm and welcoming!
What you offer
15 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Housekeeping:
Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.
Administration:
Help with booking systems and payments.
Reception:
Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Program Details
As a volunteer at our small, family-run homestay, you’ll become part of our daily rhythm—helping with reception, housekeeping, and chatting with guests. The work is simple but meaningful, and your support helps us keep our local business running smoothly. In exchange, we offer a dorm bed, a warm welcome, and a genuine slice of local life.

Rules
*Please respect Filipino culture and values. While we are welcoming and hospitable, our culture tends to be more traditional and conservative, especially compared to Western norms.
*No outside visitors are allowed inside the volunteer or guest rooms.
*Be mindful of noise and dress modestly in shared spaces.
*Keep your space and common areas clean—this is a shared home.
*Help out with a positive and respectful attitude—we’re a small family and appreciate good energy!
