Enrique and Kelly are both very kind and caring people. They don't have time to answer all the messages and explain all the details beforehand but if you're proactive and ask about everything after you arrive, they're happy to answer and help and offer you tons of delicious food. Kelly even baked an amazing chocolate cake just for the volunteers! There's no shop in the village but you can go by train or bus to the town and buy whatever you need. The coast is about 20 min walking from the hostel (or less if you go by bike) and it's absolutely beautiful.

My experience at the hostel was amazing; it exceeded my expectations by far. Starting with Enrique and Kelly, who are incredible people, both very friendly and treat you with respect. As for the work, in my case, I helped out in the kitchen. The tasks were simple, and the schedules were adhered to (4 hours/day). Additionally, during work, Enrique made sure there was a good atmosphere. On the other hand, there are several beautiful beaches near the hostel that you can visit, as well as mountain trails to explore. Personally, it was an enriching experience that I would repeat without hesitation

Time spent here was a really great experience. I met a lot of people from around the world and I had fun memories with them. The hosts Kelly and Enrique are lovely and really want everyone here to feel good. It was also a great opportunity to improve my spanish with them. The area is surrounded by nature so there is always something worth seeing at your free time. I would definitely go back again.

100% recommend! It was my 2nd Worldpackers experience and I can't even begin to describe how much wisdom and hope it brought me to work with Enrique. He's an exceptional man, with so much wit, passion, chill and an incredible attitude to life. With his wonderful wife Kelly they make a welcoming, warm atmosphere and I'm glad I ended up at their place. All the best ❤️❤️❤️

Thank's Kelly and Enrique for having me and making a fun week possible <3 I especially want to aprreciate that you where interested in what we liked and not so much liked about our stay and immedeatly made an effort to improve that (bigger variety of food, access to fruit and vegetable, as the next Supermarket isn't directly accessable and one week of only Pizza isn't what most of us wish for). I think that shows how much they respect the volunteers and want everybody to feel welcome. A bit more comunication in advance would have been nice though as nobody knew a thing before arriving XD

Hi Ina ! 😊

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a fun week with us and felt heard. We truly value our volunteers' feedback, and it’s great to know you noticed our efforts to improve the variety of food. We promise to keep working on that! 🍏🍅

We’re currently working on creating a system that explains how everything works, as we understand that it can be challenging to get familiar with everything in such a short time. However, we are grateful for exceptional and collaborative volunteers like you who make the process easier for everyone!

We apologize for any gaps in communication before your arrival and appreciate your patience and suggestions. We’re always looking for ways to enhance the experience for everyone.

We would love to see you again and share more wonderful moments together. Take care and see you next time! ❤️✨

The week in Spain went by in a flash, and every day was fulfilling. The town had few buses and trains, so transportation wasn't very convenient, but my days at the hostel were fantastic!! The host and everyone else working there were really nice and lovely people!! If you want to improve Spanish, you should go there.

It was the best volunteering experience I've ever had! Kelly and Enrique were very sweet, helping in every situation. Their kids are wonderful, watching them was so much fun, didn't even felt like a job. Food, place, everything perfect hah. Really recommend going if you like swimming, surfing and hiking. There is a national park with mountains and a lot of small beautiful cities around. If you go in the end of July, you can go to fiestas in the hostel, Naves and other nearby towns. Very good and welcoming atmosphere, hope to come back next summer!!

Kelly and Enrique are the most welcoming couple. Villahormes is quite small, but they and their boys make it feel like home. They are incredibly inclusive, understanding, and kind. You truly could not find a family with bigger hearts and a more loving presence. I'm immensely grateful for the week I got to spend with them all!

First of all, the place is not a the hostel, but a pizzeria. They don't provide any surfing equipment. The jobs are either washing dishes for 4 hours or making burgers. I left quickly because Enrique asked us (me and another girl) to clean the volunteers' dining room in our free time (cleaning in the morning and working at night). I told him it wasn't fair since I always cleaned after myself and the place was dirty before I arrived. He said, "Don't worry, you won't have to clean anything because your volunteering has just finished. Take your things and leave." Very disappointing Enrique!
