We had a great time in Vis!! We spent three weeks at the shelter resort and we were able to enjoy the beautiful nature. Shiva was a great host, the communication was easy and the workload was extremely fair. Additionally, we had the company of three adorable cats at the shelter that made the experience even better. However, it's important to mention that the path you have to take between the shelter the city can be quite exhausting, especially when you're doing this every day, but in the end it definitely got easier.

Volunteering at the shelter sanctuary was one of the most rewarding experiences of my travels. Shiva was kind dedicated and everyday felt meaningful. The atmosphere is peaceful and i also had plenty of time to explore the area. If you love animals and genuinely want to give your time to a place that truly makes a difference this is for you!

This was an amazing experience being able to connect with nature and experience life in Vis! The island is beautiful and Shiva was a wonderful host, I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who loves being outside and has a special place in their heart for cats :)

What an amazing experience!! I was able to learn so much and grow so much as a person during our month at the shelter home. I would highly recommend this exchange to someone that is very flexible and outdoors and is looking for a paradise filled with love from the cats. Nothing was more fun than walking to feed the cats in the morning and seeing them greet you on the path and ending the day with beautiful sunsets. Even in December I was able to swim so please apply to help the cats and make a huge impact in these cats lives :)

Truly an unforgettable experience! Living in the shelter really felt like a home away from home! Throughout my time here I truly learned so much from the land, the people, and mostly the cats! This exchange is perfect is you love the outdoors and animals! Shiva is a great host, very communicative about the work involved and you have a ton of free time to explore the island! During winter weather can be difficult sometimes (nothing too crazy) but I felt it makes you appreciate sunny days even more! This experience allowed me to grow within myself and develop new skills and confidences!

It was a nice time volunteering with Little Shiva at the shelter sanctuary! We had an amazing camping hut and kitchen supplies and everything you really need! You quickly befriended and bonded with the cats which definitely made the experience unique. The views and terrain are beautiful up there but it is quite the hike to make it up from town!

Shiva was very friendly and open minded. She explained everything really well and just told us what needed to be done without controlling everything. She was very appreciative about our work. We worked a few hours each day and spend the rest of the days at the sea or exploring the island. It was a lovely experience

Shiva was an amazing host. She trusted us with our work and we were able to decide at what times we wanted to get the work done. She showed us many aspects of the life of street cats. She was very open minded and answered any questions we had.

My time at the shelter was amazing beyond my expectations. :) It's definitely living off the land, so be prepared for hikes, no running water (but plenty of access to water), and lots of bugs. It felt like camping and I absolutely loved it!! The cats are amazing and cuddly, and Shiva is the kindest and most welcoming host. I couldn't be happier about my decision to come to the land. Shiva and others on Vis are truly committed to caring for the cats on the island which is very inspiring and made me feel like I was a part of something special. Thank you so much❤️

The experience with Shiva and the land is a once in a lifetime experience. It is very unique, having to think on your feet and deal with unexpected circumstances. The cats are amazing and the nature is too. I am glad I was able to support her project and to get a new story to tell.
