The experience

Help Casa Luca shine! As our volunteer Content Writer & Photographer, you’ll research & interview locals, craft written posts or guides, write bilingual captions, and capture 10–20 weekly photos of our guesthouse and Mazamitla life. In return, enjoy lodging, 2 meal per day, high-speed Wi-Fi, and structured knowledge-exchange in hospitality, local culture, and language.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Intermediate English or Intermediate Spanish

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

By joining Casa Luca’s , you agree to contribute content creation and photography in exchange for lodging, meals, and professional mentorship. You’ll commit ~4 hours/day, 4 days/week, for a minimum 4-week stay. In return, you receive:

Accommodation: Private bedroom in our shared home with lockable storage

Meals: grocery stipend

Amenities: High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, workspace with outlets, access to camera

Seasonal Flexibility: Casa Luca has slow periods and busy peaks. You might be the only person on site—perfect for focused, independent work—or join us when the guesthouse buzzes with visitors. Comfort with both scenarios is essential.


Activities & Shift

Program Description
Our goal is to showcase Casa Luca and Mazamitla’s culture through authentic storytelling and imagery.

Task Examples:
Research & Interviews: Engage with local artisans, guides, and vendors to gather unique stories and tips

Content Creation: Draft 1 articles per week trails, traditions, guest experiences, and Casa Luca updates, etc.

Social Media: Brainstorm captions for Instagram and Facebook, highlighting your interviews and photos.

Photography: Capture 10–20 high-resolution images weekly—interiors, exteriors, landscapes, events, and daily life


Rules

Professional Conduct: Maintain respectful, honest communication. Alert me promptly if you encounter issues or need resources.

Guest Privacy: Always ask permission before photographing guests

House Etiquette:
Keep shared areas clean and tidy
No unauthorized visitors without prior approval
Respect quiet hours (11pm–7 am)

Safety & Equipment:
Handle gear and home responsibly; report any damage immediately
Follow local guidelines

Content Integrity:
All work must be your original creation. Cite any external quotes or references.
