The experience

Villa Vrindavana is an international spiritual community immerse in the wonderfull nature surrounding Florence.
We follow the teaching of Srila Prabhupada founder of ISKCON, practicing Bhakti Yoga.
We welcome open minded volunteers to join us for a profound and enriching experience where you'll have the possibility to experiment with us simple living and high thinking.


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Program Details

We welcome open-minded volunteers who are eager to embark on a spiritual journey and deepen their understanding of life.
Our community is a multicultural space where people from different backgrounds come together to share experiences, grow, and support one another.
You will have the possibility to join us for the mornig program every morning from 4.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m... A profound experience to deeeply connect together with mantra, songs, dance and philosohpy class.
We also organize special meeting for volunteers, to know and connect with eachothers and to deepen the philosophy of Bhakti Yoga. Bhakty yoga is an art of leaving in connection with the Divine, that we call Krsna, and developing the attitude of serving others to find inner purpose.
We provide 3 very rich veg meals per day and we are worldwide famous for the quality of our food!
Guys and girls sleep in separate shared rooms with private bathrooms.
Florence is about 30 minuts distant by bus.
The property has 100 hectars of fields and forest including a tiny lake, and volunteers can discover the property in the free time.
Our cows and peacocks helps creating a very beautiful atmosphere. We have also a yoga center where volunteers get 1 free lesson each week and other lessons at a special price of 5 euros. You'll also have the possibility to visit our Museum of Sacred Arts that will immerse you in the ancient philosphy of India. Our Vegetarian Restaurant serves delicious food including pizzas! Last but not least our Vedic Temple, which is the true heart of the communit, full of light, colors and a gentle incense fragrance.
We often host yoga retrests, convention, concerts, mantra meditation events and many world famous spiritualists come to visit us and share with us their inspiration and vision on life.



Activities & Shift

You will be engaged about 6 hours per day, 6 days a week in the following activities (depending on our needs and your tendencies):
Assising cutting vegetables and cleaning in the kitchen.
Serving food to the community.
Cleaning.
Helping in the vegetarian center.
Gardening.
Helping with cows.
General maintenance.


Rules

To fully embrace the experience and be alligned with the rest of the community we ask our backpackers:

-Not to use intoxicants or stimulants substances (including alcohol, drugs, tea, and coffee)
-Not to consume meat, eggs and fish
-To abstain from sexual activities
-To avoid gambling

Following these four principles helps cultivate a peaceful mind, a soft heart, strong willpower, and an authentic and truthful attitude. These values will be explored in more depth during our philosophy sessions if you'll desire so.

Respect and collaboration are fundamental principles that create a harmonious and uplifting environment for all.

For the purpose of the spiritual practices and immerge deep into the experienc both male an female are asked to avoid using over revealing cloth.

We also provide beautiful colorfull and comfortable cloths in case of need.
