Program Details

At Buitenplaats De Oorsprong, we aim to create a relaxed and welcoming environment, both for our guests and for our volunteers. As a Worldpacker, you will become part of the daily rhythm of our small-scale camping and glamping site, located in a peaceful, relatively remote area near the coast and the Brouwersdam. We expect you to be responsible, proactive, and able to work independently after some initial guidance.

We value open communication, reliability, and a positive attitude. In return, you can expect a respectful and calm atmosphere, clear expectations, and the freedom to enjoy your time off in a beautiful natural setting. The area offers beaches, forest walks, hiking trails, and plenty of space to unwind.

The nearest pick up point is Zierikzee. There is a direct bus going from Rotterdam to Zierikzee bus station. If you arrive by train, Goes is the nearest station. From there busses go regularly to Zierikzee as well.

Activities & Shift

You will help with cleaning and control of our shared sanitary facilities and kitchen — please note that professional cleaners handle the accommodations. In addition, you may assist with small tasks such as setting up the hot tub when booked, simple repairs or installations, and other occasional jobs that come up during daily operations.

You’ll work 3 hours per day, 5 days a week, in shifts that may vary depending on what’s needed — sometimes in the morning, sometimes later in the day or evening. In return, we provide you with a free place to stay in a simple but comfortable tent. There are no accommodation costs, but you’ll take care of your own food. A shared kitchen is available, and shops are within biking distance.

Rules

At Buitenplaats De Oorsprong, we strive to maintain a peaceful and respectful atmosphere for all our guests and volunteers. To ensure this, we have a few simple rules. No weed or drugs are allowed on the property, and silence is expected after 23:00 to respect the tranquil environment. Our campsite is mainly enjoyed by nature and sports lovers, as well as families, so we ask that you respect the calm, non-party vibe. Dogs are welcome, but they must always be kept on a leash while on the property. This is not up for discussion.
