Description: For just $20/day, enjoy a full cultural experience: stay in a village home, eat 3 local meals daily, and join free guided trips to waterfalls and forests. Help with farming or crafts, share skills, and connect with nature in a peaceful, offline setting — all while supporting local families and sustainable tourism.

Program Details

A short stay in the Rainforest Village offers travelers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the authentic life of a remote village near Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. This one-day experience blends cultural enrichment with nature exploration, giving you the chance to disconnect from the fast-paced world and reconnect with the simple, peaceful rhythms of rural life. The day begins with a warm welcome from the locals, followed by a traditional breakfast made with locally grown ingredients. You’ll then embark on a guided nature walk through lush forest trails, discovering nearby waterfalls and scenic vistas. Afterward, enjoy a home-cooked lunch with your host family, where you’ll learn about local farming practices and food traditions. In the afternoon, you’ll have the chance to engage in hands-on activities, such as helping with daily tasks like cooking or farming, or creating traditional crafts. You’ll also take a relaxed stroll through the village, meeting residents and learning about their culture and stories. The experience concludes with a shared meal and time to reflect on the day's connections, culture, and sustainability practices before departing with a deeper appreciation for the land and its people. This program invites you to support sustainable tourism while enjoying a mindful, enriching experience in nature.

Join the village in their daily routines. Help with farming activities like harvesting vegetables, or get involved in traditional crafts such as weaving or woodworking.
