Join our peaceful lakeside farm on the Buwaya Peninsula and help with organic gardening, chickens, goats, and ducks. Youβll stay in a cozy homestay, enjoy home-cooked meals, and live the rhythms of real rural Uganda.

What you offer
23 hours of help per week
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Animal Care:
Help look after and take care of animals.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Free Tours:
Weβll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English
Between 18 and 55 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Volunteers stay for free in our welcoming homestay near the lake, surrounded by nature and friendly locals ππ
Your main tasks will include:
πΏ Gardening (planting, watering, weeding)
π Feeding and caring for chickens, ducks, and goats
π₯ Collecting eggs and basic farm upkeep

Youβll help around 4β5 hours a day, with 2 days off per week.
π«±πΎ Optional: Join our weekly community health outreach for hands-on learning and impact!
Minimum stay: 1 week. Longer stays are always welcome π
Activities & Shift
β° Volunteer hours: 4β5 hours/day, usually within 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Shifts are flexible depending on the day's tasks πΏ
π Morning (7β10 AM):
β Feed animals (chickens, ducks, goats)
β Collect eggs, water plants
π Midday (10 AMβ1 PM):
β Garden maintenance, planting, cleaning animal areas
π Afternoon (2β5 PM, 2x/week β optional):
β Join our community health outreach initiatives
